SoundSnap Loops

December 21, 2009

Hey – I noticed today that the loops I’ve posted over at SoundSnap.com have well over 20,000 downloads! If anyone out there is using them in any projects please let me know. Everything up there is still completely royalty-free – I’m just curious about what kinds of music people are creating with them. Shoot me an email or link at: clifftruesdell at gmail dot com.

Thanks!

I had a chance to engineer a session this week at Broken Radio studio (formerly Coast/Toast) with the legendary Rachid Taha and Hakim Hamadouche. The song we were tracking is a duet with Rachid and Nader DeAik and will be on Nader’s next CD. Big thanks to Matt and especially Carly at Broken Radio for all their help.

Here are a couple clips of of Rachid and Hakim in action:

Nader Deaik CD Released

October 24, 2008

Check out the new CD from Nader Deaik here! This a pretty awesome disc that involved a lot of hard work. We did most of the writing in my home studio and all of the tracking at Take Root with a lot of great musicians and engineers. Definitely a team effort. I got to play guitar, bass and piano and also did most of the drum programming and sequencing. Nader is starting to get worldwide airplay and has been doing some pretty high profile gigging lately. More info is available on Nader’s MySpace page.

I’ve got a new Ableton Live video course available at www.HowAudio.com – this one has everything you need to know to start making music with Live 7. There are two free quickstart movies that you can check out and HA now has three different price plans to choose from – Annual, Monthly and a Sampler plan where you can sign up for two months for only $30…
